I joined on365 formally Universal Power Systems in 1997 and have enjoyed the many challenges that it has brought over the years. It has been rewarding to have been a part of the company’s on-going development, growth and diversification into what it has become today, a leading provider of critical power and cooling services for IT.
After qualifying as a Chartered Management Accountant I gained experience in wide ranging sectors of the market including Textiles, Engineering, Construction, Distribution and Exploration Drilling.
Early in my career I was the Chief Accountant for a Textile company specialising in Sportswear leaving to become the Financial Director of Beeston Boilers. I was seconded by the Group FD to play a more central role, after the Group was taken over by Williams Holdings. Headed by Sir Nigel Rudd, Brian McGowan and Sir Roger Carr, it grew to be one of the FTSE top 100 companies in the UK with a turnover of £2B.
Later I became the Financial Director of Hopwells, a successful Midlands Frozen Food distributer. After a short spell in the Construction Industry and I was employed by an International Exploration Drilling company travelling to Africa and other European countries as part of my remit before joining on365.
In my leisure I enjoy music and sport and am a member of a National Singing Organization and have performed solo in some regional venues.
