on365 has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2010 UK IT Industry Award for UK for IT Achievement of the Year. on365 will find out if they have been successful at the awards evening being held on 11th November at the Battersea Park Events Arena, London.
The UK IT Industry Awards are run by the Chartered Institute for It in association with Computing magazine. The awards are the benchmark for excellence throughout the computer industry and focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months.
The annual Awards serve as a platform for the entire IT profession to showcase and celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence. The categories provide an opportunity for organisations and individuals involved in IT across the public, not for profit and commercial sectors.
In total, the Awards feature 24 categories which cover: project, organisation, technology and individual excellence and include awards such as Security Innovation of the Year, Small IT Department of the Year, IT Achievement of the Year, Business Project of the Year and CIO of the Year.
This year the Awards feature the new Digital Inclusion Achievement of the Year Award, run in association with Race Online 2012. The project aims to bring people and organisations together to improve the life chances of the 10 million people who have never been online, particularly the four million who are also socially and economically excluded.
David Clarke, Chief Executive Officer, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT says: “I’d like to congratulate the finalists, they all can be proud of their achievements. The diversity of the projects that have reached this stage is testament to the impact of IT today."

I don’t envy the judges who now have to decide the winners; it’s going to be very tough.”
