on365 launch Professional Services Division

11th November 2011 - on365 launches Professional Services division to help manage data centre energy management and cost reduction needs.

Companies are now under constant pressure to manage their energy consumption whilst keeping costs down. Measuring data centres' energy usage has moved beyond first generation calculations like power usage effectiveness (PUE) and is now shifting towards an integrated approach, for example data centre infrastructure monitoring (DCIM).

on365 has launched a Professional Services capability to help industry professionals address management costs, reduce complexity and monitor resources for maximum impact. on365's Professional Services can analyse in detail the different elements within the data centre, providing IT professionals and facility managers with a granular level view of their performance and reporting metrics. This service will enable facility managers and CIOs to analyse data centre performance and energy use relative to business demands infrastructure and available resource.

Chris Smith, sales and marketing director on365 says:"As the data centre environment becomes increasingly complex, measurement approaches such as PUE are not able to provide a practical framework to help industry personnel understand changing dynamics and potential impact of decisions. Our Professional Services capability provides a range of consultancy advice from tips to control costs to the designed implementation of monitoring systems."
