IT Managers must have the full facts
Local Government Chronicle - Comment Review 5/11/09
Local Government Chronicle rounds up the best comment, analysis and opinion from the last week
The article missed the underlying reason for this. In a joint study with Loughborough University, on365 found that more than half (56%) of IT Managers in UK organisations were not even seeing the energy bill, which remains the responsibility of their facilities manager colleagues. This comes at a time when organisations are looking to the heads of IT to reduce costs and cut emissions. With many different departments involved in local service delivery, identifying the scope of the problem is impossible without knowing the extent of energy use in the first place.
