on365 as 2010 Conference Host for Datacentre World Conference & Expo presented a conference session and hosted an industry panel discussion at the show. 12.15pm Tuesday 23rd February, Theatre 1 Tired of the same old buzzwords with no real business meaning? Concerned more with IT efficiency than simply being 'Green'. Worried about CRC compliance? Consolidation ... Virtualisation ... Standardisation ... Scalability ... Optimisation ... and don't forget the BIG topic, the new CRC legislation and the implications of compliance. There's no denying it's what everyone will be talking about and we won't pretend to be any different. These are critical issues for all data centre professionals in the UK today but if you want to avoid a glorified sales pitch full of industry jargon and would prefer sound, practical advice on how to meet the IT power and cooling 'green' challenge then come along to this unique session being jointly presented by on365 and technology partners APC and SGI. All three organisations are established leaders, not followers in the datacentre sector and have been implementing efficient IT for years using data centre best practices that are now being termed 'green'. At this session using real world examples of technology in practice we'll jointly discuss the real needs of IT Managers, the pressures they are under and the tools that are currently available to help them manage proactively and efficiently across their data centre physical infrastructure right through to their chosen IT hardware.
